On their debut album "a lighthouse for the Sun," solarminds picks up where bands like Swans, Spaceman3 and Slowdive left off. Drawing from world, ambient, electronic and rock sounds, and lacing them with their own brand of droning psychedelia to create an album that transcends perceived reality yet feels organic in nature.
From it's wild psycho-sonic experimentations, thundering crescendos, and swirling guitars (as on "my salvation" and "The Worshiping Sun-mind") to it's lush keyboard arrangements (as on "hallucination"), to it's more delicate moments (as on "The Worshiping Sun -soul"), this album is truly an epic journey like no other.
Believing experimentation and improvisation to be key to the creative process, they like to do a lot of jamming out, and incorporate these "ambient/noise jams" into their songwriting and records as much as possible. Whether you crank it on your stereo and sit back and enjoy some recreational activities with some friends, or don a pair of headphones and take a more intimate trip, we're sure this album will be a mind-altering experience.
