This project was originally intended to be a gift from Chris to his parents in the Spring of 2006 (it would be an all encompassing birthday, each parent has one in the Spring, and Mother’s/Father’s Day), but additional copies of the CD-R were given away as well. Desert sessions consists of 10 cover songs which Chris, with Starry’s help, recorded with very stripped down arrangements – acoustic guitar and vocals taking up most of the sonic space.
